When our family was on vacation last year, our beach day was completely ruined by all of the trash that had washed up on the beach. It was frustrating, dangerous, and gross. Our kids were commenting about all of the pollution, and so me and my husband decided to take the opportunity to talk more about recycling. We told our kids that by recycling, we could keep garbage out of the ocean and the landfills. When we got home, we asked our city for recycling bins and we started separating our trash. We felt great about teaching our kids to have a more positive impact on the environment.
